Peace
What else are we looking to achieve, in everything we do for our well-being, than peace.
In yoga. In love. In all the choices we make in life, we look for peace, for serenity. To be “happy” – in abscence of unhappiness. To be in union with peace.
This peace that we seek with all our life choices, big and small, is to be found within.
This peace we carry around inside of us every step of our walks, every breath of our days.
It is what we are; what I am deepest within. All I need to do is to rid myself of anything that stands in between me and it. All I need to do is to close my eyes, relax and dip into this peace. This source. The Source. Me.
All looking outside of myself for this experience, is in vain. The experience is always and only within. Just to relax, and dive into the well. The source. Be. In yoga. Union with Peace.
Reward
After a really intense day of work, my reward: A long Prana Flow yoga practice.
I love. Love. LOVE Prana Flow Yoga.
And music.
I am putting together the chakra-element flow class for Thursday, and am so excited to share it. Earthy. Deep. Fiery. Muladhara bound.
Bless Shiva Rea for this yoga!
Bless the Source for bringing it to me.
I wish, wish, wish someone more than me was teaching in Stockholm – I’d be in heaven to be able to take their classes! Maybe that’s reason enough to go Bali in March. To have the access to Twee Merrigan. : )
I know that we all love India
I know that we all love India.
But.
Are we doing anything to make any difference about the incomprehensible injustice that Indian woman suffers?
Every day, 7,000 girls are aborted from their mothers wombs in India. Of the ones who are allowed to come into life, many many many are doomed to a lifetime of suffering, violence, cruelty, and inhuman discrimination.
Please watch this 12 minute documentary, “Undesired” by Walter Astrada.
Please, if you have any ideas of action for aid for the women of India, contact me at yoga at littlewing.se. No matter who or where you are. Together we can make a huge difference.
Prayer of Peace for the New Year
Dahn Yoga originator Ilchi Lee‘s Prayer of Peace at the United Nations (2000)*
Prayer of Peace
I offer this prayer of peace
Not to the Christian God
Nor to the Buddhist God
Nor to the Islamic God
Nor to the Jewish God
But to the God of all humanity
For the peace that we wish for
Is not a Christian peace
Nor a Buddhist peace
Nor an Islamic peace
Nor a Jewish peace
But a human peace
For all of us.
I offer this prayer of peace
To the God that lives within all of us
That fills us with happiness and joy
To make us whole
And help us understand life
As an expression of love for all human beings
For no religion can be better
Than any other religion
For no truth can be truer
Than any other truth
For no nation can be bigger
Than the earth itself.
Help us all go beyond
Our small limits
And realize that we are one
That we are all from the earth.
That we are all earth people
before we are Indians, Koreans, or Americans
God made the earth
We humans have to make it prosper
By realizing that we are of the earth
And not of any nation, race, or religion.
By knowing that we are truly one
In our spiritual heritage.
Let us now apologize
to all humanity
For the hurt that religions have caused
So that we can heal the hurt
Let us now promise to one another
To go beyond egotism and competition
To come together as one in God.
I offer this prayer of peace
To you the Almighty
To help us find You within all of us
So that we may stand proudly one day before You
As one humanity.
I offer this prayer of peace
With all my fellow earth people
For a lasting peace on earth.
* In 2000, Dahn Yoga originator Ilchi Lee was invited as one of 50 pre-eminent spiritual leaders in the world at that time to speak at the Opening Ceremony of the Millennium World Peace Summit of Religious and Spiritual Leaders in the General Assembly Hall. When he came to the podium, he offered this prayer of peace for the world.
